Seroquel is used for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders (seeSerotonin and Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors [SNRIs] list [ antidepressions] and.). It is also used to treat depression.
Seroquel is used for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and premenopausal women.

Take this medication by mouth with or without food, usually once daily.
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Children's dosage is also based on weight. If you are taking other medications that you are taking, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist about them.
If you are taking Seroquel (Quetiapine), your doctor may start at the lowest dose (300 mg) and gradually increase your dose. However, it is best to start with a lower dose (25 mg) and not increase it too much (100 mg). If needed, your doctor may also start you at a dose higher than that recommended for you.

Seroquel is not recommended for use in patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. This drug may harm an unborn or nursing baby. To avoid the first signs of baby formula-associated diarrhea, your doctor will start you on a lower dose (25 mg) and gradually increase your dose.
To treat depression, your doctor may add an antidepressant to your treatment. Talk to your doctor about the signs of diarrhea.
To treat anxiety, your doctor may add a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) program to your treatment. CBT techniques can help you learn new skills and increase your ability to think clearly and positively.
The dosage of Seroquel is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
Seroquel is not recommended for use in patients with kidney problems or a history of blood clots. Follow your doctor's prescription and dosage instructions.
Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time(s) each day.
Continue to take this medication as your body adjusts to this drug. However, this medication may cause you to feel less "high," weight gain, or to experience depression. Talk to your doctor about the best time to take this medication.
